The Scott County Chapter is very active in the preservation of the habitat of the wild turkey and in keeping the heritage of hunting and the outdoors.
We have monthly meetings to plan events, our annual fund-raising banquet, and other programs for youth and women.
The chapter is very active in the community. Last year we provided 75 families with Thanksgiving baskets (complete with turkeys, of course!) and at Christmas we participate in the Share the Joy program in providing children and families with Christmas gifts and food.
We also award a $400 scholarship to a local high school senior and support the 4H Chapter with a check.
